The new educational and methodological manual from the Legion publishing house is intended for preparation for the OGE in social studies in 2016. By working with this book, students will acquire strong, informed and fundamental skills in completing all exam tasks in the 9th grade.
The publication includes the following materials:
20 new training options OGE compiled in accordance with the draft demo version and specifications for 2016
dated 08/21/2015 with answers;
brief methodological recommendations for completing tasks with a detailed answer (working with the text of a document, drawing up a text plan);
short dictionary basic social science terms.
The publication will be useful primarily to ninth-graders who
are preparing to take the OGE in social studies, as well as teachers and methodologists. Parents will be able to use the book to monitor their children’s readiness for the exam (the presence of answers facilitates this).
A useful addition to the book is a pocket guide to social studies for grades 8-11, which contains almost all of the course material in a concentrated form.

Methodological aspect
33 - a task that requires specification of the given provisions. It tests the ability to illustrate with examples the studied theoretical positions and concepts of socio-economic and human sciences. This is a high level of difficulty type of task. The assignment contains an indication of a social object or process and a requirement to illustrate, confirm or disclose any aspect of it or their relationship using examples from social life. For complete and correct completion of the task, 3 points are awarded. If the correct answer is incomplete - 2 or 1 point.
Tasks that require specification of any general phenomenon, a theoretical position with a complex of examples, are rightly classified as one of the most difficult within the framework of a unified exam in social studies.

The Unified State Examination in Social Studies is held to certify secondary school graduates secondary schools, as well as identifying the level of their preparation for admission to higher and secondary specialized educational institutions. The purpose of this manual is to help high school students and applicants prepare for the exam.
The structure and content of the KIM, the types and level of complexity of the exam work tasks correspond to the goals of the Unified State Examination - to provide an objective assessment of the quality of training of persons who have mastered educational programs secondary (complete) general education, using tasks of a standardized form. KIM in social studies Unified State Exam allows to differentiate school graduates according to the level of subject preparation for the purpose of selection for admission to universities and colleges.
The multiple-choice tasks of the first part of the examination are aimed at recognizing and comparing signs, traits, elements of the description of social objects, correlating theoretical material with realities of life, assessing the truth of judgments about social phenomena. The second part of the work (tasks with a short answer) tests the ability to identify the structural elements of social science knowledge using diagrams and tables, correlate specific concepts with generic ones, classify social facilities and their characteristics, select several correct positions (characteristics, manifestations) from the proposed list, differentiate into social information facts, value judgments and theoretical statements, use terms and concepts in the proposed context, specify theoretical knowledge.
Tasks with a detailed answer in the third part of the examination work significantly increase its differentiating ability and thereby help to identify examinees with the highest level of social science training.

The Unified State Examination in Social Studies is conducted to certify graduates of secondary schools, as well as to identify their level of preparation for admission to higher and secondary specialized educational institutions. The purpose of this manual is to help high school students and applicants prepare for the exam.
