With all the mentioned advantages, this car has only one drawback - the Mustang can only drive in a straight line. It will only be possible to improve its handling to the point where it can corner at least once in a while closer to the middle of the game... And by this time many other great cars will have already opened up.

Another problem: when you buy a Mustang, the Mazda RX-8 is already available, which, while not inferior in speed and power, has much better handling. Therefore, logic dictates: it makes no sense to buy this car. But it is almost impossible to resist the temptation to buy a Ford Mustang GT - logic is powerless here. You may have to drive it rarely or not right away, but it’s a Ford Mustang! How can you refuse him? After all, why not have a great muscle car just for the drag track? Moreover, you don’t have to buy a Mustang GT, but rather win it from Jewels (8th place on the Black List).

At this stage there are simply no bad cars, they are both good. And although Carrera has a slight advantage in speed and control, this is not felt at all in the race - both cars perfectly tear apart their rivals, leaving them far behind. The only difference is that a Porsche makes you feel like you're driving a racing car, while a Mercedes suddenly puts you at the controls of a fighter jet.

I admit, I don't like Mercedes. Too much pathos has been inflated around them - it is indecent to love such a car if you are under 40 years old and do not have a large bank account; it's like pestering a respectable businesswoman who is 15 years older than you. And who has children your age.

But with the SLR McLaren it's different. He is not like his overly serious brothers, although he is one of the most powerful cars in the world. It seems so carefree and mischievous that it is not a shame to buy it - even having given up a Porsche Carrera GT for the sake of it.

6. Porsche 911 Carrera S

Having taken an honorable 7th place in the Black List, you can buy a Porsche 911 Carrera S - the first normal Porsche in Most Wanted (should we not consider the Cayman as such, which can only be bought by betting on cards?). And the Carrera S, oddly enough, turns out to be even better model 911 Turbo S, which opens later and deserves the word “Turbo” in its name, which sets the mood for some kind of coolness... But in practice it turns out not quite so. With the same upgrade, Turbo gets a little higher speed, but less acceleration than Carrera.

These are the Porsche 911 Carrera, Cayman and 911 Turbo. Can you guess who is who?

Add to this the fact that Porsche's designers were bitten by a rabid sloth, so all their models look the same. Cayman, Carrera and 911 Turbo are as similar to each other as two... like three peas in a pod. Why are they even needed? It turns out that at some point in the game I will be able to open a car that looks exactly like my Porsche 911 Carrera S, drives about the same, but costs more! Visually, only the Carrera GT differs from this trio, which will open after defeating Ronnie (3rd place in the emergency). It will boast slightly more speed than the 911 Carrera S, but worse handling.

The Mitsubishi Evo 8 appears in the store after defeating Big Lou (11th place on the Black List) - and becomes the best among the available cars, replacing the reigning Mazda RX-8 on the throne. However, if you don’t have money, you can wait until you defeat Earl (9th on the Black List) and try to take the car from him.

High place Mitsu is not only due to her good performance in NFS: MW. Some people love it for “Fast and Furious” (though there were Evo 7 and Evo 9), while others love it for brilliant victories in numerous rallies, because the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution is a “classic” rally car. In this genre, only the Subaru Impreza can compete with it, but, as the survey below shows, the Mitsu Evo 8 has a larger army of fans.

To unlock the Aston Martin DB9, you must achieve 7th place on the Black List. You can also win Aston from Ronnie (3rd place emergency), but who wants to wait that long? So in certain moment We are faced with a difficult moral dilemma: should we buy an Aston Martin or a Porsche 911 Carrera? However, the choice only seems difficult - yes, Porsche is a little cheaper, and its characteristics are a little better. But remember: there are two more Porsches ahead, on the list of “closed” cars, but Aston Martin is the only one of its kind. So why not put the German sports car aside for later?

The Aston Martin DB9 is loved by many - it’s not for nothing that one of the James Bonds drove around in its predecessor, the Aston Martin DBS. And Jeremy Clarkson, during his test drive, compared the DB9 to Keira Knightley. The sound of the engine deserves special attention - this is, of course, not a Mustang, but its purr makes you smile. And thanks to Most Wanted that (at least in the game) we have a chance to ride this beauty.

Lambo Gallardo replaces Aston Martin. The easiest way to get this car is by winning the race against Ming (6th in the Emergency), for this, you often need to select the first of the tokens with a question mark. True, it is impossible to understand how Ming manages to lose races with such a beast. Moreover, his car is equipped with an engine that will open only after winning 3rd place on the Black List. So Gallardo Minga is 100% imba, which will make the next 20-30 races much easier.

It is curious that the same Clarkson (where without quotes from great people?) called the Lamborghini Gallardo a big Lotus Eclipse, implying its excellent handling - and in NFS:MW this feature is clearly visible in the game. After all the cars available before, Gallardo will take some getting used to - her speed, coupled with incredible handling, derails all the driving experience accumulated during the game. This ease of control and power even breeds a certain overconfidence that can play a role cruel joke…

It is worth winning 2 more positions on the Black List, and after defeating JV, the Lamborghini Murcielago will open, which has all the advantages of the Gallardo + a little more speed. It would seem that everything is clear with the Murcielago - an improved version of the Gallardo, which is perfect for racing at the final stage of the game. Only in practice it turns out that, for some unknown reason, not a trace remains of Gallardo’s amazing handling.

Instead, we have to return to the forgotten difficulties when entering corners, which inevitably leads to the question - is it worth the slight speed advantage that Murcilago has? It is quite possible that the problems with handling are solely my subjective impression, because, according to the characteristics, no problems should arise. And if you change to a Lamborghini Murcielago from any other car, you won’t get this feeling. But, having Gallardo, it is better to stay with her - one life, one Lambo.

Yes, it sounds confusing, but the point is this: performance-wise, the best Lamborghini is the Murcilago. But personally I would choose Gallardo. Despite the fact that Jeremy Clarkson called Murcilago the best of all Lamborghinis.

This is not to say that this BMW is the fastest or most powerful in Most Wanted, although it is undoubtedly close to the positions of the leaders. But, unlike any other car from this rating, the BMW M3 GTR has become a real symbol of NFS: MW, recognizable to all fans of the racing series. It is this that becomes the main reward that the hero receives after completing the Black List.

At the same time, it still remains a mystery why the handling of the BMW M3 GTR, according to the characteristics, is inferior to many top-end Most Wanted cars - this figure only slightly exceeds the average. But, for a moment, this is the swan song of the entire game, a dream for which players will have to go through the entire Black List...

However, on the highway special problems there is no problem with handling, but a bad feeling remains in the soul - after all, a huge number of cars at the end of the game can boast of maximum pumping of all characteristics. And running away from two dozen cops in the end, the thought must inevitably creep in: “Why did the world come together like a wedge on this BMW?” And I don't have an answer to this question. Recommended tactic: at the beginning of your career, choose the maximum difficulty, when the races become difficult - choose average level difficulties. If at the average level you find it difficult to pass the tracks, then complete subsequent races at the easiest level. This tactic will allow you not only to quickly complete the game, but also to completely buy all the upgrades for the car (see screenshot below).

How to drift in NFS: underground?

This type of competition involves the need to drive at a certain angle to the track and the ability to enter a controlled drift. Placement in this competition is determined by the number of points received. The scoring system is very tricky, it is influenced by the following factors (see screenshot below):

• Vehicle speed (field 1 in the screenshot).
• Skid angle (field 2).
• Drift multiplier (field 3), maximum multiplier - 5.
• If you crash during a skid, your points (field 4) will be lost.
