Greece
If you have a choice, it is better to come to Greece with children in September, when the summer heat subsides. And it’s better to go to Crete - the small islands are blown more by winds, and therefore it’s cooler there.
September in Greece is a wonderful time when you can enjoy a beach holiday, sightseeing, and gastronomic tourism all at once.
On September 8, Greece celebrates both the Nativity of the Virgin Mary (honored as an important Orthodox holiday) and the Day of the Battle of Spetses between Greek rebels and the Ottoman Empire (1822). But... Let us recall that the Russian Foreign Ministry recommended refraining from traveling to Egyptian resorts.
