Tips for leveling up

Tips for improving skills without teachers.

Easy Skills
Alchemy
It is advisable to start with this skill, combining it with Heavy Armor/Block/Weaponsmith (to increase Stamina at early levels). Alchemy will give not only experience, but also money for sold potions. There are two great ingredient deposits: a vineyard near the western walls of Skingrad along with a tomato field near its northern walls, and street crates/barrels with two alchemists and a food vendor in the Imperial City Trade District. Beginner tools can be purchased for free from any Mages Guild, you just need to join it. Money is very useful for training such difficult skills as Speech, Trade, Hacking and Athletics.

Heavy armor
We go to Leyawiin and take the Staff of Eternal Scamp from Rosentia Gallenus. The four scamps are weak, but immortal (you can, of course, kill them, but after half a minute they will rise again). Three weak blows to each - and now they are quickly scratching us with their frail claws. We heal, we repair, we endure blows. At the same time, we will improve a little Recovery with the Gunsmith and mastery of blades/clubs/bows/fists. Also, instead of scamps, you can improve your skill on rats in the sewers of the imperial city. By the way, you don’t have to repair your armor to level up; hitting even completely broken ones will increase your skill. Repairing will reduce damage taken, which is useful when leveling up at early levels.

Light armor
They swing similarly to heavy ones.

Blocking
It swings much longer than armor (swings at the same speed if you place a block with your hands). Let's practice a little on the eternal scamps and go to Hakdirt. There, in the basements, we gather a crowd of cultists and, retreating to a corner or cave corridor, we block the blows of weak but numerous clubs. Beware! At high levels there will be more than a dozen cultists, so it’s worth stocking up on healing potions and a couple of scrolls for massive damage.

Gunsmith
You'll have to walk to the Shivering Isles and talk to the Khajiit Ajazda at the Finds store in Crucible. She will ask you to bring her three items, one of which is the Amulet of Disintegration. That's what we need. We put on the amulet, take it off, repeat several times (so that it eats away every part of the armor), repair it, put it on again, take it off, etc... The stronger the armor we wear and the more hammers we have, the better. It will be more convenient to assign the amulet to a number, so as not to go into your inventory every time.

Stealth
Swings easily and naturally. One of the good places is the Merchant Inn in the Commercial District of the Imperial City. We go up the stairs to the door to the second floor and, looking at it, turn on stealth and the autorun key. The innkeeper is nearby, but he doesn’t see us, so stealth increases. The player’s participation is not required, so you can safely go have some tea/smoke.

You can level up this skill at the beginning of the game. When escaping from prison while learning stealth, we are asked to pass by the Goblin. And then we do the same, turn on the automatic movement and go drink tea. The time between skill increases is 10-15 minutes, depending on what level you are at.

Acrobatics
There is one feature thanks to which you can quickly increase your acrobatics to 100. The further the jump and the more difficult the landing, the faster the skill increases. Jump from the mountain as much as possible, but be careful not to kill yourself. A good place to level up is Cloud Top, which is northwest of Chorrol. We climb up, jump along the way down, heal, go back through fast travel and jump again. A noticeable increase in skill is guaranteed. You can also find a low place in which you fit full height plus just a little more space. We jump often (resting against the ceiling, the jumps are very short) and quickly level up the skill.

Magic skills
To easily upgrade your magical skills, we need to earn recommendations from all branches of the Mages Guild and gain access to the University. There, on the machine, we create the cheapest spell of the desired magic school, put the mug on the conjuration button, and go drink tea/smoke/mind your own business, periodically stopping by to click on the “OK” button when you reach skill level 25, 50, 75 and 100. Below are examples of spells for each school.

Changes
“Shield 3p. for 1 sec. to myself".

Illusion
“Light 3p. for 1 sec. to myself"

Witchcraft
"Summon a skeleton for 1 second."

Mysticism
“Detect life for 1 sec. to myself"

Destruction
“Vulnerability to lightning 3p. for 1 sec. to myself"

Recovery
“Restore health 3p. for 1 sec. to myself"

Note: Destruction and Restoration take an extremely long time to level up. For example, if you have not chosen to specialize in magic and Restoration as your main skills, leveling it up from 50 to 60 will take a whole hour.

Combat skills
The ability to paralyze the enemy will be very useful. If you are fluent in the schools of Illusion and Restoration, create a spell for long-term paralysis with the absorption/restoration of strength. Alternatively, you can use a homemade set of enchanted items for 100+ chameleon.
Skills increase not from the strength of damage, but from the number of hits. To upgrade, it is beneficial to use the fastest weapon.
There is one extremely convenient place for leveling up your weapon skills - the Benirus Mansion in Anvil, which can be purchased for a modest 5,000 gold in the Count's Coat of Arms tavern near the western gate of the city. After the first dream, tenacious ghosts appear in the mansion, but they use very weak magic. They do not block our attacks and are reborn after a couple of hours of waiting outside the door. Beat them with enchanted (even with a spent charge) or silver/Daedric weapons; simple ones have no effect on them and do not increase their skill. Alas, they are also immune to punches.
If you watch the Blades training in the Temple of the Lord of the Clouds, your Blade and Blocking skills will increase by 2 points. You can also watch Branwen and Salit near the Arena of the Imperial City; the Hand-to-Hand Combat skill will increase by 5 units.
Blades
It is most convenient to upgrade with daggers or short swords. If you have a double-click button on your mouse, use it to attack.

Blunt weapon
One-handed axes are our choice. The double click button is also welcome.

Shooting
It is not necessary to pull the bowstring to the limit - the count is based on the number of hits. It's faster that way.

Hand to hand combat
Damage your enemies' power reserves and hit them. Exhausted, they will not resist. Each punch exhausts them, forcing them into a defenseless position to catch their breath. It’s also worth watching two fighters training near the arena for a couple of minutes, this will increase your skill by 5 points.

Hard Skills
These are the four skills that are worth spending every learning opportunity on.

Breaking
Unlike Morrowind, Oblivion does not have a constipation spell, which makes leveling up hacking on your own extremely difficult. It's possible to lift multiple bolts, exit the hack window, and do it again, but learning from teachers is highly recommended.

Trade
You can somehow raise it up to 15 points on your own, but pressing the “Yes” button hundreds of times to increase it by 1 point - you must agree, this is a mockery. The Argonian Sid-Nius from the Northern Goods store in Chorrol will be able to teach you up to 70, increase your skill by 5 for the task of rescuing your daughter, and send you to a master teacher.

Eloquence
On your own, you can increase it to 40 by “playing” persuasion by training on a guard. The main thing is not to let the attitude rise too high, otherwise conviction will become inaccessible. Next, let's go study.

Athletics
Study, study and study again. We don’t run that much ourselves. Unfortunately, autorunning into a wall does not produce results - the game counts movement, not the time spent running.
Yes, it's a pity. But auto-swimming improves it quite well. We jump into the water and set him to swim into the wall on the car. Don't drown. Rumar's ring can help significantly (quest "Fishing")

Leveling Tips (Additional)

1. Lockpick, Weaponsmith, Trade, Speech: You can cast a spell that gives +100 to one of these stats for 10 seconds. This will replace all of these skills completely. Since the game is paused when using these skills, you can take your time. To use, you need the "Restoration" skill of 100 and access to the spell altar.

2. Most likely the information will be known to you, but I’ll write anyway. When you wait in the game (T key by default), your health, magic energy and stamina are fully restored (unless you have an illness or have chosen a birth sign that makes this impossible). This can be helpful so you can recover quickly. If enemies are nearby, waiting is impossible.

3. If you have maximum Alchemy skill, then you can collect flax seeds (a very common plant) and make very powerful magic restoration potions from them. Since with maximum Alchemy skill the presence of the second ingredient is not necessary, you can use it.

4. In the game it is possible to get a master key that does not break (Skeleton Key), and it also increases your hacking skill by 40 units. To do this, you need to complete a task from the Daedric prince Nakturnal. To take on this quest, you need at least character level 10. Nakturnal does not require anything as an offering. The map shows where the sanctuary is located:

Upgrading attributes

You probably noticed that after you have increased all your main skills by 100, the level no longer increases, however, the attributes are not developed to the maximum. That's how the game is designed. But then I found a way to develop attributes to the maximum. To do this, you need to commit big crimes, go to prison and serve time. Your skills will decrease and, by pumping them up again, your experience progress will increase.
Example: Start a huge war against the guards, kill a dozen people, ask for surrender and go to prison.

Skill books part 1

When you open a tutorial book for the first time, your hero's level in the corresponding skill will increase immediately. This increase is always +1 (one point). If the main skill is increased, then this increase will also go into the “piggy bank” of increasing the level of the player’s character, but if the secondary skill is increased, then only into the “piggy bank” of bonuses to the attribute.
Here are all the skill books, their IDs and location in the game.

All skills in the game are divided into three categories: combat, magic and thieves. This article will focus on combat skills.

The Blacksmithing skill is responsible for creating new items here. Offensive skills are Shooting, One-handed weapon And Two-handed weapon, and defensive ones - Heavy armor and Blocking. Activating the Warrior Stone increases the growth rate of combat skills by 20 percent.

Hand to hand combat

In the game, in addition to various weapons and magic, you can also use your own fists. Damage in hand-to-hand combat is always caused to the enemy's health, but not to his magicka or stamina. Hand-to-hand combat is not as effective as other fighting styles, but it can still kill. If you play as a Khajiit and find yourself a pair of heavy gloves, then somewhere up to level 10, the damage done with your hands can exceed the damage from weapons. It is important to note that you can deal critical damage from stealth with your bare hands, but you cannot apply poison to your hands. The distance of fighting with hands is approximately equal to the distance of fighting with daggers, the speed is average. You can combine hand-to-hand combat with the use of magic or a shield, striking with only one hand. Unfortunately, since hand-to-hand combat is not a skill, your early game development may be a bit stagnant if you use this fighting style heavily.

Damage with bare hands at the beginning of the game is fixed for each race. All races, with the exception of Argonians and Khajiit, deal damage equal to 4 . Argonians and Khajiit have the same base damage 10 , and the latter also have a passive ability that increases the total damage with their hands to 22 . These values do not change as the level increases and are associated with only one perk - Fists of Steel, which can be found in the branch Heavy armor.

Humans and Elves Base damage without weapons: 4

Total damage: 4

Argonians Base damage without weapons: 10

No additional bonuses

Total damage: 10
Khajiit
Base damage without weapons: 10

Additional Damage: 12

Total damage: 22

Increased melee damage

The Fists of Steel perk adds damage in hand-to-hand combat, numerically equal to the base armor rating of the gloves worn by the protagonist. The maximum base rating is daedric gloves, and, accordingly, the damage added by them is equal to 18 . Growing skills or improving gloves at the forge does not affect this number.

There is only one item in the game that improves your unarmed combat skills. It's called Fighter's Gloves. You can find him in the Rat Hole, the infamous sewer of Riften, with a comrade named Gian the First. This item can be broken at the altar of enchantment and then enchanted with a ring or other gloves to increase damage from punches. There is also a ceiling here and it is equal 14 .

So the maximum damage you can achieve in the game without using alchemy is 10 (base) +12 (Khajiit Claws) + 18 ( daedric gloves) + 28 (enchantment for ring and gloves) = 68

Fight with weapons

In order to use a weapon, you must assign it to your left or right hand. Two-handed weapons and bows require the use of both hands. When equipped, shields automatically appear in the left hand, and they cannot be reassigned to the right hand.

If your attack deals enough damage to kill an enemy, the game may show a kill animation. If you have activated perks Merciless Strike And Crushing blow in skills One-handed weapon And Two-handed weapon Accordingly, you will sometimes be able to observe the decapitation of the enemy. Finishing moves occur only in relation to the last enemy in the immediate vicinity at a certain distance.

Two weapons

This fighting style is characterized by speed and pressure. If you assign a weapon to each trigger, you will not be able to block enemy attacks, but you will be able to interrupt his attacks with a continuous barrage of blows. A double attack takes about one and a half times longer than a one-handed attack, but the damage done is much greater.

Double attack speed is determined based on the weight of the weapon in your left hand, and the stamina cost depends on the weight of the weapon in your right hand. Thus, it makes sense to hold a dagger in your left hand so that the double attack is faster. But most likely, using one type of weapon will be more effective due to the perks used.

The Double Whirlwind perk increases the speed of the weapon not only when striking with both hands, but also with one, if you have a weapon in both hands.

If you assign a spell to your main hand, you will lose the dual-weapon combat bonuses, but if you assign spells or a shield to the other hand, the bonuses remain.

Power attacks

A power attack is carried out by holding the corresponding key. It deals twice the damage of a normal attack and also has a chance to stun the enemy. Your stamina decreases according to the following formula:

Stamina cost for a power attack = (20 + weapon weight) * attack cost multiplier * (1 - perk effect)

The attack cost multiplier is 2 for a power attack with one hand and 3 for an attack with two hands (the protagonist deals 3 blows in a row).

Depending on the direction you move, you can perform different power attacks. So, when performing a forward power attack, you will lunge, which will quickly reduce the distance between the enemy and you. By using a force attack while moving backwards, you can effectively counteract enemy attacks. Using the Fan Attack perk allows you to deal damage to all enemies in front of you with power attacks with a two-handed weapon while moving sideways.

The stamina spent on an attack does not determine the damage inflicted on enemies, so if you spend less stamina on an attack, this does not mean that the damage has decreased.

WITH comparison of different fighting styles

Possible variations of different fighting styles are described below. Hand-to-hand combat is not included in the consideration, since it was discussed above, and combat with a weapon in one hand, because it is obviously weaker than combat with a two-handed weapon.

One-handed weapon and shield

One of the most popular fighting styles, balancing between attack and defense. One of the benefits of this fighting style is the passive bonus to overall armor rating that the shield provides. Leveling up the Blocking skill reduces physical damage received to a minimum. Perk Elemental protection in Blocking, halves magical damage from elemental spells.

Unfortunately, to get the full benefit from this fighting style, you need to spend a large number of perks - 25 . Even a more “budget” option with leveling up only the left side in the Blocking skill tree and investing in the Strong Arm and Fighting Stance perks One-handed weapons will require about 15 perks For the same amount of perks, you can use two-handed weapons more effectively.

Two-handed weapon

Using this fighting style, you will be less protected than using a weapon and shield, however, the benefits are also great: more damage per second, as well as truly devastating power attacks. However, you will still be able to use the block, albeit not as effectively. To get the full benefit from this fighting style, you only need to spend 15 perks

Two weapons

This fighting style has the least defense among all the others. The game hint says that a two-handed strike immediately deals twice as much damage, but this is not entirely true, because it takes 50% more time. And the total damage per second increases to 133% of the base. The Double Whirlwind perk speeds up attacks with one or two hands, as well as power attacks (if the weapon is in both hands). With two-handed power attacks, you land as many as three hits in a row. The main perks for this fighting style are Strong Arm, Fighting Stance, Double Whirlwind and Double meat grinder. To pump them up it will take about 9 perks The price for such cheapness is an almost complete lack of protection and increased consumption of stamina, so you must take care of potions for restoring health and stamina in advance, and act decisively and quickly in battle. Redguards with the Battle Fury ability can do without stamina restoration potions.

Warrior of the word

Warriors of the word skillfully combine a weapon in the main hand (because the weapon in this hand is 15% faster) and a spell in the other. Word warriors can be divided into two categories: some supplement the damage from melee weapons with magic, others use support spells. The first concentrate on the school of destruction and weaken the enemy at a long distance and, after depleting their magical reserves, use their weapons. Others call on creatures from Oblivion to help, heal themselves, etc. Since one of your hands can have a spell of absolutely any type, from a jet of flame to illusion spells, it is quite difficult to say how many perks are needed to see the most effective work of the chosen one style. The most “budget” warrior of the word is obtained after taking the perks Strong Arm, Fighting Stance and several from the Restoration school (a full-fledged school of magic). This fighting style is very easy to combine with the above-described Two-Weapon fighting style.

The difficulty level also affects the cost and duration of the spell Balance from the school of Change.

Fall Damage

If you fall from a great height, you will receive a certain amount of damage, which is calculated using the following formula:

Fall damage = ((height - 600) * 0.1)^1.45 * modifiers

The Soft Pad perk in the Heavy Armor skill reduces fall damage by half.

The damage that other characters receive is calculated using a more “severe” formula:

Fall damage = ((height - 450) * 0.1)^1.65 * modifiers

Addition

  • Two-handed combat improves mastery of one-handed weapons rather than two-handed ones.
  • Unlike the previous two games in the series, Morrowind and Oblivion, weapons in Skyrim do not require repair, cannot break, and do not deteriorate with use.
  • Fighting is one of the points of persuasion. After winning, the character will give you all the information you need.
  • Swords, axes and maces are combined into one skill, and the required specialization is determined by perks.
  • Using your fists as a weapon will not increase your level, since hand-to-hand combat is not tied to any skill.

Your character is eligible to level up after improving any combination of basic skills by 10 points. You need to rest on the bed for the level to take effect. How many secondary skills you increase during this time does not affect the level.

Benefits of leveling up

A key aspect of Oblivion is that as you level up, most enemies increase in power: many NPCs will level up and you'll face more challenging creatures. On the other hand, there are many advantages. Maximizing these advantages will allow you to stay ahead of your enemies.

Your health is increased by 10% of your stamina.
You can increase 3 attributes by 5 points each. Many improvements are only possible by increasing your attributes:

  • Maximum weapon damage requires an increase in either Strength (melee) or Dexterity (bows), as well as an increase in the corresponding skill.
  • Maximum magic requires increased intelligence.
  • Magic regeneration depends on willpower and maximum magic.
  • Fatigue depends on a combination of your strength, endurance, agility and willpower.
  • All Daedra quests have level requirements.
  • The equipment you can get depends on your level.
  • The amount of gold you find depends on the level.
  • The quality of weapons and armor depends on the level (in stores, in chests and taken from enemies).
  • Many battle rewards are more effective at higher levels.
  • The power of randomly found enchanted items depends on the level (for example, weapons and armor).
  • Enchanted items that you can make yourself are more powerful.
  • Better quality alchemy equipment is only available at higher levels. Additionally, many ingredients are effectively only available at higher levels because they come from higher level creatures.
  • You can purchase training up to five times per level.

Attribute Boost

When you level up, you can increase the values of three attributes. The amount you can increase an attribute depends on how many points you have acquired in the skills controlled by that attribute (major and minor) before receiving the 10th increase in the primary skill.

  • 0 skill points gives a +1 bonus
  • 1-4 skill points gives a +2 bonus
  • 5-7 skill points give a +3 bonus
  • 8-9 skill points give a +4 bonus
  • 10 or more skill points gives a +5 bonus

When promoted, it is never possible to gain more than a +5 attribute bonus. Attribute bonuses not used at one level (or excess points per 10 in attribute-driven skills) do not carry over to the next level.

For example, let's say that a character has the following basic skills (seven in total, listed by attribute):

  • Dexterity: no
  • Stamina: Armor
  • Intelligence: Spell
  • Personality: illusion
  • Speed: no
  • Strength: Weapon
  • Willpower: Destruction; recovery

They have increased some skills since their previous level (see below, increasing parentheses after each skill). When they acquired the 10th increase in the main skill, they received a level qualification. The attributes it provides will be listed on the right in the examples below.

There are several strategies for overcoming the leveling problem. One of them is to never let your character sleep, as a result your character will never level up (as described in the Under Leveling section). Another is to simply reduce the difficulty of the game.
The fact that monsters and other enemies level up at the same time as your character leads to the "leveling problem." If you make the wrong choices when leveling up, your character will become relatively weaker than the monsters as you level up. Therefore, a given situation in the game will become more difficult, not easier, even if you would expect the same situation to be easier for higher level characters.

On the other hand, you can play at high levels, and your character constantly becomes stronger than the enemies. To achieve this, you need to take maximum advantage of each bonus available to your character as you level up. In general, this requires careful planning from the moment you start playing because many of these benefits are only available with certain character creation options.

Some components of a successful leveling strategy include:

High health requires high stamina, both by creating a character with a high starting stamina rating and by gaining +5 attribute bonuses every time your character levels up.
Get +5/+5/+5 bonuses per level (or +5/+5/+1 if you want to increase your luck), and be sure to get those bonuses in the attributes most useful to your character. This is the basis for effective leveling.
Spend enough time in each level to get the best gear for that level. For example, don't advance from level 3 to level 4 until you find a full set of leather (if you're wearing light armor) or plate (heavy armor). It is also necessary to modify items with the most powerful spells available to your character.
Characters who rely on spells should be sure to purchase new spell effects as soon as they become available and create more powerful custom spells.
These strategies can only be implemented with careful character creation. Standard classes are not suitable for planned leveling as they overload core skills driven by the same attribute. This causes frequent level ups before you can get the full bonuses for those attributes.

Additionally, some +5 attribute bonuses are not possible without a special class. For example, take the standard Warrior class. Ideally, a warrior type character will want to gain +5 attribute bonuses in both toughness and strength. However, this is not possible with the Warrior class. To get two +5 attribute bonuses, you need 20 proficiency in endurance and strength driven skills, i.e. some combination of Armor, Block, Sword. But since all six of these skills are core skills, once 10 skills are obtained, the character will level up. You have to choose between trying to get +5 in just one of those attributes (and then maybe getting +5 in an attribute that is much less useful to you) or getting two +3 attribute bonuses.

Similar problems occur with any standard class. In all cases, the selected class attributes that one would presumably like to maximize cannot gain +5 attribute bonuses because most of the skills governed by that attribute are core skills. At least one attribute-controlled skill must be a minor skill, allowing for consecutive +5 attribute bonuses, and maximum control is obtained if two of the controlled skills are minor skills.

So for example, a warrior who wants to gain +5 bonuses to stamina and strength at each level must choose at least one of the stamina-driven skills (Armour, Block and Heavy Armor), and at least one of the Strength-driven skills (Swords, Melee Combat, Blunt Weapons) to be a secondary skill. In addition, it is necessary to use secondary skills frequently. Remember that in these six skills, at each level you need to obtain a total of 20 skills (10 in stamina-driven skills and 10 in strength-driven skills); no more than 10 of these achievements can come from core skills (because after 10 your character will always level up). Thus, at least 10 skill achievements must come from minor skills. Since it takes more experience to promote secondary skills than core skills. Far more than half of your character's time should be spent on minor skills. So if Swords is chosen as a secondary skill, the warrior will spend more time fighting with swords than with other weapons or fists.

Details

Additional information about character leveling:

  1. If all your attributes are maxed out, you cannot raise them; but again, most players will probably never max out all of their attributes.
  2. Your attribute bonuses are set when you reach skill level 10. Training skills after this, but before you sleep/level up, begins the process of granting skills on attribute bonuses for the next level. You can sleep on multiple levels several times in a row.
  3. You can gain up to three levels after you have mastered your skills. Complete all Daedric Shrine quests and it will give you Oghma Infinium. This book will raise three of your skills by ten points, even if they are already mastered. There are a few more free skills that can also be used to collect additional skills and can also be used to gain one or two levels.
  4. You can also continue the level after you have gained maximum skills by going to prison.
  5. Using a free skill boost to increase spell skill above 100 does not reduce the casting cost.

Maximum Attributes

If all of your core skills have been maxed out, one way to continue leveling your attributes is to lower your core skills by serving a prison sentence, giving you the opportunity to continue leveling your character. However, there are some pros and cons to this method.

- How far is Yoda? How long does it take to get there?

- Not far. Yoda is not far away. Patience. Soon you will be with him... I'm preparing delicious cornelis!

film “The Empire Strikes Back”

There is no more useful and kinder character in the game than a coach... a teacher, a guru, an educator, a sensei. Remember how simple and easy it was with them in Morrowind? They will always help, never refuse. The hero met the desired dark elf under the clear sky on the plantation - and took as many lessons as needed. It was possible to upgrade several levels with teachers in a row - that would be enough money. And, as I remember, the scam ATM Creeper was in charge of the money, so under the gray sky of Vvanderfell, learning was easy and simple.

In Cyrodiil everything is different.

Of course, there are fewer skills - only twenty-one. Munchkin training methods work almost as easily and simply, but the teachers were cut. Almost to the root. Now at one level the player cannot take more than five lessons. So you have to take a cup of coffee and go into an open field to look for rats.

But at high levels sometimes even they don’t help. And then, to be honest, the hero goes to the trainers. Each skill in the game is taught by five NPCs. Two can only provide knowledge up to the fortieth level of proficiency. Two - up to seventy. And only one, unique master trainer will help you learn the skill until the last, ominous number 100, which threatens the player with new features. The “hundredth” acrobat can jump from the surface of the water, the “hundredth” blacksmith gets an eternal hammer, the “hundredth” armadillo gets weightless armor - you all know this.

But where can we look for a sensei who is ready to improve our skills for honestly earned drakes? If your hero is only interested in knowledge, its cost, and how to acquire it, then you want to know the secrets of the field universities of Cyrodiil.

For your information: Usually low-level teachers can be identified through street conversations and dialogues with NPCs. They won't refer you to 1970s teachers, and you'll have to find them on your own. But they, in turn, will indicate the approximate path to the “sensei” as soon as the skill rises to level seventy.

Acrobatics

Teachers under 40: Lizard Quill-Weave from Anvil and Vlinorman in the elven ghetto of the capital. The lizard loves to play nasty tricks on her Dunmer neighbor, and the elf climber loves to climb the steep walls of churches.

Teachers under 70: Tsrava from home J"Bari in Leyavin (he really doesn’t like dogs) and Ganredhel from Cheydinhal (loves them).

Master Sensei, the acrobat lives in the northeast of Cyrodiil - north of Cheydinhal and east of the Azura Temple. You will be told her name - Aerin.

It is important: you will not be able to begin studying with the sensei until the teacher "up to seventy" has told you where to find him. You can’t just go up to the sensei and say: “Here, I’ve already leveled up to seventy, teach me.” You should definitely take the quest.

After finding Eirin's camp, you will only find a strange Nord named Torburn.

— Did you come here to study? - he will ask the hero. — Are you looking for Eirin? Well, she's not there. But there is me, and I can do something.

We will never know where Eirin went or who Thorburn is to her. But he will be able to teach the hero acrobatics up to the last, hundredth level of acrobatic skill.

For your information: in front of you is the only selfless sensei. Only he will teach you without any conditions. Remember his honest face - you will have to run after the other masters.

Alchemy

Teachers under 40: Felen Relas in the Anvil Mages Guild and S"drassa at the Leyawiin Mages Guild.

Teachers under 70: Ardaline in the Mages Guild of Bravila (she once lost her staff) and Brotch Calus, who lives in Broome.

Alchemy Master - Elf Sinderion. You probably remember him - after all, it was he who so pitifully begged the roots of Nirn from you. He lives in the basement of the West Weald Tavern in Skingrad. The damned alchemist is also a drunkard - he won’t want to teach you until you give him a bloody nose and two rare bottles of wine - Tamika And Surilie Brothers 399 of the year.

The easiest way to get them is in the basement of Skingrad Castle. And don’t let your conscience torment you - alcohol is generally harmful to vampires, they only drink “underwater.”

Athletics

Teachers under 40: Uuras, a shepherd who loves Roquefort cheese - lives in the south of Skingrad, and Mahei from Leyawiin, an unfortunate and sad henpecked man.

Teachers under 70: Hauls-Ropes-Faster, a pirate, an Argonian, whom everyone calls by his nickname, because his name is unpronounceable in Imperial - he lives in the Fo"c"sle tavern in Anvil. Hondatar, hunter, lives in Horrol.

Rusia Bradus- local Cyrodiil traveler. She lives in Anvil and is ready to teach you how to run fast, but only on one condition - if you have already visited thirty places in Cyrodiil. Even if you are not a renowned runner, you have probably fulfilled this requirement a long time ago without knowing it.

Security

Teachers under 40: Malintus Ancrus- thief from Horrol. Bantien, a former thief, lives in Talos Square in the capital.

Teachers under 70: Dro"Shanji, lives in the north of Bravil. Mandil, lives in the elven ghetto.

Master of lockpicking - cat named J"baana, languishes in imperial dungeons. Not in prison, but behind bars - he walks through a locked part of the imperial prison quarter. I must say, he walks around quite freely and sleeps in his own tent. Good entertainment for the absolute genius of locks and master keys.

There are three ways to get to it. First, steal the guard's keys. Secondly, open the door behind the person on duty (inside the prison). Or just wait for Jbaana to come to the bars himself.

The cat will give you a simple task - bring him a note from Skrivva (the cat thief from Bravil). Skrivva will grimace, but will give you a note. Give it to Jbaana and it's done!

Block

Teachers under 40: Fadus Calidius from the Skingrad warriors guild and Huurwen from the Anvil Warriors Guild.

Teachers under 70: Lum gro-Baroth in the warrior guild of Horrol and Ambroise Canne, who lives in Skingrad and grows grapes (a popular hobby for Skingrad residents).

Master "blocker" - elf Andragil. She lives in Bravil, on the second floor above the house of Dro "Shanji. She will test your abilities and your suitability for learning in a very simple and painful way. She will walk the hero on the sides with a huge glass hammer for a whole minute. This is called, give the elf a glass hammer, she will kill both the hero and cut herself.

Your task is to cover yourself with your hands and shout: “Don’t hit me, aunty!” - run from Andrajeel throughout the house. You can try cutting a couple of circles around the table - not the blows are counted, but only the time during which the elf will chase the hero with a grin on her face.

Restoration

Teachers under 40: Doctor Cirroc in the Temple of Talos (Bruma) and Marie Palielle in the Temple of Julianos in Skingrad.

Teachers under 70: Marz in the temple of Mary (Bravil) and Ohtesse at the Temple of Cheydinhal.

Restoration Master - Elderly Imperial Oleta from the Temple of Akatosh in the city... Kvatch. Excuse me, Kvatch was destroyed by the Daedra? If you have not yet started the main branch, then Oleta is locked in the temple behind the gate to Oblivion - the gate must be closed, the Daedra in the square must be killed, and the trapped townspeople must be freed. But Oleta will not want to teach you while there are Daedra left in the city. This means that you need to complete the quest “Battle for the Kvatch Fortress” and clear the entire city of creatures from another world.

If you have already done all this, then try looking for a master in the refugee camp at the bottom of the hill.

Blunt weapon

Teachers under 40: unfriendly orc bookseller Bugak gro-Bol in Leyawiin (Southern Books store) and Vigdis at the Anvil Warriors Guild.

Teachers under 70: Christophe Marane, owner of the Brina Cross Tavern, on the road northeast of Anvil. Notorious Azzan at the Anvil Warriors Guild.

When you can no longer learn from Christophe and Azzan, you will be pointed out Irene Metrick, a Breton from the elven ghetto. She doesn’t tell anyone about her past and, probably, she’s doing the right thing.

- How many NPCs have you killed in your life, hero? - Irene will ask.

- Well... a couple dozen or so.

- It’s no good - I killed more, so I’m not going to teach you, new guy.

I've always said that there is something sinister about Cyrodiil's blunt weapons... You need to kill about fifty NPCs to get the Breton to agree to teach you how to crush and slash. You will find the exact figure on the hero's statistics page.

Alteration

Teachers under 40: Dovyn Aren in the elven gardens of the capital and a kind-hearted lizard Deetsan at the Cheydinhal Mages Guild.

Teachers under 70: Athragar in the Horrol Mages Guild and Abhuki at the Garegul Tavern, on the Green Road south of the capital.

To find the master, walk along the shore of the bay - from Bravil to the north. Argonian Bed Tooth-in-the-Sea(Tooth-in-the-Sea) is not to be missed, although the owner will probably be absent. The tooth explores the bottom of the bay all day long like a real Cousteau.

He will not demand wine from you, but will want to test it in action. You need to spend three hours underwater with him. This is not as ominous as it sounds - you just can’t keep up with the Argonian, and you can’t come to the surface for air. This means that you will have to somehow breathe underwater for six minutes of real time. It is very easy to pass this test with the help of a simple water breathing spell, with the help of potions, scrolls or things enchanted for water breathing.

If you don’t have any of the above, then just visit the mage guilds in Broome, Horrol, Leyavin, and the shops in the trading district - and buy as many Sea potions as you need (four strong potions or eight regular ones).

This is interesting: If you're an Argonian, Tooth-in-the-Sea won't test your water resistance - he'll take your word for it.

Illusion

Teachers under 40: Hil the Tall, a priest in the temple of Cheydinhal - he loves everyone and everything, be careful! Jantus Brolus from Bruma - a good Spellsword.

Teachers under 70: Carahil in the Anvil Mages Guild and Kud-Ei in the Bravil Mages Guild (this lizard’s friends are rare sleepyheads, I tell you).

University Chironazii is where he lives Martina Floria- a master of illusions and no fraud. You cannot get into this holy of holies of sorcery and incantations until you have received all the letters of recommendation from the branches of the Mages Guild.

Martina will require from you ten Welkynd stones - those shiny aquamarine things that are scattered and placed throughout the Eilidh dungeons. Ten is very little. In one trip you can get twenty to thirty pieces.

Blades

Teachers under 40: Naspia Cosma- a valet from the Cheydinhal fortress, who was once a gladiator in the Arena. Right-Wind, hangs out in the Bruma warrior guild.

Teachers under 70: Sherina from the Leyawiin warrior guild and Rhano from the Anvil Warriors Guild.

Your aim - Alix Lencolia, wandering blademaster, sensei in the most eastern sense of the word. He stopped at Faregil's tavern, south of the capital. From Bravil, go northwest along the road, after the Bad Omen tavern, look for a left turn - there will be Faregil's tavern.

Alix doesn't want to teach just anyone. Give him famous (or infamous) heroes. The number twenty is important - it doesn’t matter whether they love you or hate you.

Conjuration

Teachers under 40: Fathis Arena, court magician at Bravil Fortress and Sulinus Vassinus at the Skingrad Mages Guild.

Teachers under 70: Alberic Litte in the Horrol Mages Guild and Arentus Falvius, who by profession... is a priest? Yes, the priest in the temple of Talos in Bruma is fond of summoning demons in his spare time.

Olyn Seran walks in circles near the temple of Molag Bal (exactly east of the village of Weatherleah, which is between the cities of Skingrad and Horrol). He will ask you to summon a Faded Wraith for him. A difficult task, because to summon you need to have at least level 75 spellcasting. If you don’t want to get these five units by summoning scamps and armor by the sweat of your brow, then try looking for a scroll - it drops from sorcerers and necromancers from caves.

Speechcraft

Teachers under 40: Young northerner, bard Alga from Bruma and priest Uravasa Othrelas from the Bravil Temple.

Teachers under 70: Bard Varon Vamori from Bravil and Gruiand Garrana from the temple at Cheydinhal.

It doesn’t matter whether the temple of the One in the temple quarter of the capital is intact, or broken in the battle of Dagon and the Dragon - it wanders in circles Tandilwe, an elf with a really loose tongue. Her task is the most difficult - you need to find all the beggars of Cyrodiil and talk to them. You can’t convince someone to get a job, you can’t just start a conversation. It's difficult.

Five beggars live in the capital, with two in each main city. In total, there were nineteen people.

For your information: Beggars are contagious, so keep a potion to cure common illnesses on hand.

The easiest way to find a beggar is at his bed in the fresh air - at night. Only in bad weather do these homeless citizens prefer not to sleep in the open air. Here's a list of beds:

At the well in the southwestern corner of the elven quarter of the capital.

In the south of the street in the northwestern part of Talos Square of the capital.

At the well in the southeastern corner of the capital's business district.

In the northern part of the temple quarter of the capital.

At the pier of the capital, next to the place where they accept thieves (walk around a small piece of the wall, as if you won’t miss the couch).

Behind the Flowing Bowl Tavern on the Anvil Wharf.

East of Anvil's main city gate.

Behind the Lonely Suitr Lodge in Braville.

Behind The Fair Deal in Braville.

Near the northern gate behind the stones in Broome.

    Behind Anora House in Broome.

At the well northeast of the western gate in Leyawiin.

In the southwest corner of Leyawiin.

Between the houses southeast of the western gate in Cheydinhal.

In the southwest corner of Cheydinhal.

Among the stones near the southern wall in Horrol.

Behind the stones north of the temple in Horrol.

Behind the stables next to the West Weald Tavern in Skingrad.

Next to the Skingrad Warriors Guild.

For your information: if one of the beggars died before you accepted the quest, it’s not a big deal. It will be credited to you automatically. But this is not a reason to exterminate them preventively. Although...

Blacksmithing (Armorer)

Teachers under 40: Eitar from Leyavin (lives in a house near the cathedral) and Tadrose Helas, a blacksmith at the warriors' guild in Bravil.

Teachers under 70: Rohssan- It’s easy to find him, he owns the A Fighting Chance store in the shopping district of the capital. Rasheda- Owner of the Fire And Steel store in Horrol.

For your information: To gain access to the services of trainers from the warriors guild, you must be a member of the guild. In general, thieves and magicians have a simpler time with this.

Master Blacksmith - Argonian Gin-Wulm, a blacksmith from The Best Defense store in the shopping district. You may have to wait for him in the store - the slacker loves to hang around the streets of his hometown. If you don't want to wait, try to catch him on the streets of the elven ghetto and the shopping district. Look for a lizard with a red and green face wearing a discreet brown vest and light brown pants.

The blacksmith loves to ask riddles. He will ask you simply and directly:

-Who is Khazadir?

What do we care about some Khazadir? But the lizard is adamant. The hero became sad, but there was nothing to do. Go to the First Edition store and read the book The Armorer's Challenge(“Blacksmiths’ Competition”). Everything is written there in the form of an instructive short story.

— Khazadir won the competition.

- Right. You will learn from me.

Light Armor

Teachers under 40: Dul gro-Shug from the elven ghetto and Olfand from the Nord Winds store in Broome.

Teachers under 70: Luciana Galena, buyer of the thieves guild - lives in the south of Bravil. Ahdarji from Leyawiin (loses valuables and hates reptiles).

J"Bari from Leyawiin, an old rascal, wants a gift in the form of an elven cuirass. Why, oh why does a cat need a cuirass?

You will start encountering it on bandits, vampires, pirates, and in loot from level fifteen. You will get it by completing the warrior guild quest - it is on the bandit Azani Black Heart. I can't give you any more directions - level trophies are unpredictable.

Marksman

Teachers under 40: Edla Dark-Heart, an assassin from Skyrim - lives in the south of Bruma in Ragnar's house. Winemaker Shameer- as you may have guessed, he is from Skingrad (his house is next to the cathedral).

Teachers under 70: Reman Broder, another winemaker from Skingrad. Hunter Pinarus Inventius from Anvil (perhaps you once exterminated lions side by side with him).

Elf Alawen set up camp east of Anvil (south and slightly west of the fork to Kvatch and Skingrad). It’s better to talk to her when she’s not hunting, and she hunts from ten in the morning until almost evening.

She will ask you to show her the Elven Bow. These are sold in stores from the thirteenth level (Bravile's "Shooter's Paradox") and are found in the wild from the ninth.

Mysticism

Teachers under 40: Angalmo in the Horrol Mages Guild and Druja at the Skingrad Mages Guild.

Teachers under 70: Ita Rienus in the Bravil Mages Guild and Boderi Farano in the Mystical Archives of the Invisible University - of course, it’s impossible to get there without completing the guild’s recommendation quests.

Master of Mysticism - Dagail at the Leyawiin Mages Guild. Remember that crazy old lady with the wild hair? You cannot call her for a sincere conversation until you complete the task of the Mages Guild. If you returned the amulet that restores a relatively clear mind to the unfortunate elf, she will be able to train you - but only if you have closed at least three portals to Oblivion.

Still, something not of this world remained in her.

Destruction

Teachers under 40: Chanel, court magician in the Horrol fortress and an excellent artist, I tell you. Don't offend her, because then she won't teach you about destruction. However, she can, to some extent, be replaced by the notorious cat J"skar, fond of invisibility spells. You can get an appointment with him no sooner than you complete the Broome recommendation quest at the Mages Guild.

Teachers under 70: Marc Gulitte in the Anvil Mages Guild and Delphine Jend at the Bravil Mages Guild.

For your information: These two may have to be persuaded for a long time to give you secret information - where to find the master trainer Andaren.

Bralsa Andaren lives at the Kynareth sanctuary (northwest of the Sanguine statue, west of the same Weatherleah hamlet). She will simply and clearly let you know that without twenty bear skins you have nothing to do with her. Bears begin to roam the forests from level seven and are not encountered very often. However, the skins are sold in stores, so you can try your luck in the cities.

Hand to Hand Combat

Teachers under 40: Nahsi in the Bravil warrior guild and Rufrius Vinicius at the Anvil Warriors Guild.

Teachers under 70: Davela Hlaren from the tavern Imperial Bridge, which is on the Silver Fish River east of the Yellow Route. Ra"qanar at Cheydinhal Fortress.

Master Helvius Cecia lives in Broome. He will give you the opportunity to take revenge on the world for the beating in Bravil - after all, in order to test the strength of the hero’s fists, Helviy will offer the hero beat him up. He will not resist. You need to destroy a fair portion of the sensei’s health with your fists in half a minute.

It's a pity that the fun can't be repeated. There are no new sparring sessions with the master in the game.

Sneak

Teachers under 40: City-Swimmer, a lizard from Bravil. She can often be found in city canals - she swims there. Glistel, wife of Malintus Ancrtus, lockpicking teacher. She lives with him in Horrol, to the envy of her neighbors.

Teachers under 70: Othrelos from the elven gardens of the capital. Mirabelle Monet, owner of a hotel for sailors in Anvil (at the pier).

Master of Stealth - Marana Ryan, a resident of the capital's temple quarter (she often wanders around the arboretum). Marana, wanting to test your skills, will invite you to steal a coin from her. No sooner said than done! After all, you have at least seventy units of stealth in your soul.

Trade (Mercantile)

Teachers under 40: Foroch in the tavern Gottshaw(“Gotsho”), which is between Kvatch and Anvil. Mach-Na, an elderly bookseller from a bookshop in Cheydinhal (the store is named after the owner).

Teachers under 70: Magrarte, wife of Eitar, a blacksmith teacher, lives with him in Leyawiin in a house near the temple and really wants to start collecting rare ingredients. Seed-Neeus, owner of Northern Goods in south Horrol.

You don’t have to go far to find a master - this Palonirya, owner of the Divine Elegance store (jewelry and fashionable, divinely elegant clothes). It is very simple to achieve her favor - you need to have ten thousand drakes with you.

Heavy Armor

Teachers under 40: Brodras in the warrior guild of Leyawiin and Bumph gra-Gash in the Bruma Warriors Guild.

Teachers under 70: Valus Odiil from Horrol - sends the hero to save his field and children from goblins. Varnado, a blacksmith from The Best Defense shop in the capital's shopping district.

Pranal- a middle-aged Redguard, a former gladiator. He lives in the Roxy tavern (northeast of the capital, near the shore of Lake Rumare) and knows all about heavy armor. But his task will be... unusual. He will ask you to get him gifts for the tavern owner - a silver jug and four silver glasses. He will allocate fifty gold pieces to cover expenses.

Glasses are sold in general merchandise stores - e.g. Copious Coinpurse or Three Brothers in the capital. It is very easy to steal a jug in the same stores or hotels. Pranal will ask you to give a gift on his behalf. Do it.

I’ll say right away - the owner of the tavern does not love him, and is unlikely to ever love him.

Now you know exactly where to look for master sensei and what to offer them. They may not be able to lift you on their mighty shoulders to the upper levels, but they will provide all possible assistance. Good luck to you and your hero in achieving the heights of knowledge and skills!

And if you love leveling up your characters to the maximum level, then this article will certainly be useful to you. The game is replete with many ways to level up your character. Of course, you can always find cheat codes for skills in Oblivion, but it’s fun to use the bugs and tricks that are hidden inside the game.

Where does pumping begin?

We choose our character and his gender. The choice depends on who you want to play, what will be closer to you: melee battles, using magic, or do you prefer stealing and a bow? Of course, the game gives you the opportunity to become a super character by accumulating the skills of all classes. There are cheats for skills in Oblivion, but their use can often affect the appearance of various bugs and glitches, which will be difficult to eliminate.

Upgrading a warrior

In Oblivion, you need to increase the skill for warriors in such characteristics as strength, endurance, followed by agility, luck and speed. It is worth noting that luck is important for everyone. Thus, for a warrior it is better to choose a strong and resilient race. The best choice would be a male Nord, Orc or Redguard. It is worth immediately making a reservation regarding gender. The following statement is always true: more feminine traits, such as agility and speed, are inherent specifically in women. The male sex is distinguished by its strength and endurance.

Nord can be taken if you want resistance to cold. Orcs have an excellent spell “Berserk”, due to which once a day you can become very strong and durable, however, you can lose a lot of agility. Of course, an orc is preferable to those who do not pay attention to the hero’s appearance.

An excellent solution would be to choose a Redguard. He has excellent characteristics and excellent skills: once a day, speed, agility, endurance and strength increase by 50 points for 60 seconds. One minute will be enough for you to throw a bunch of things on yourself and run from the cave or give your enemies a good talk.

Guiding star

Afterwards you need to choose a constellation that will accompany the hero. It is possible to increase skill levels in Oblivion for quite a long time. However, after carefully reading all the characteristics, one can come to the conclusion that the most fighting constellation is the warrior, thief and horse.

The horse gives +20 speed. This is useful for pumping up speed, although it is not the most important ability for a warrior.

The Warrior Constellation adds +10 points to strength and endurance. This is a very useful skill.

Constellation of the Thief adds +10 to agility, luck and speed. Of course, for a warrior, agility and speed are not the primary skills, but luck is very useful! To upgrade it in the game you need to spend 10 level increases on it. Strength and endurance increase by +5 points as you level up, and luck by only one.

Think carefully about which constellation will best accompany your hero.

Which class is best?

Now let's move on to the most important thing - choosing your character's class. Initially, the game presents you with a large number of classes: bard, inquisitor, rogue, and so on. Each of them has its own unique abilities and characteristics. However, we decided to take a warrior, so we choose him.

Skill Selection

Now we have the most important thing to do - choose the skills that will be considered basic for the character. Leveling up your skills in Oblivion will help you easily fight against hordes of enemies. Basic skills are +25 points higher than others from the very beginning and level up much faster. Don’t think that you need to take the skills that you will use most often. It is important to understand the very meaning of gaining levels in Oblivion.

For example, you increased your basic skills by a total of 10 points. It would seem great, but there is one thing. Each attribute, such as strength or endurance, corresponds to three more skills. For example, strength includes hand-to-hand combat, blades, and blunt weapons. We got + 10 to blades, or + 5 to blades and +5 to melee, or +3 to blades, + 5 to hands, and +2 to crushing weapons. This means that when we increase the level, we will get +5 to the strength indicator. If you consider that for achieving a level you can choose to increase three attributes, it turns out that you need to increase the skills that relate to these attributes a total of 30 times. But out of these thirty lifts, only 10 should be core skills.

As a result, if you choose blades as your main skill, you will have to run for half the game with blunt weapons or even with fists in order to raise the required strength, agility and endurance parameters by +5 points. And if you run with blades, you will get all +5 to strength, but to the rest +1, maximum +2. You can study skills for a long time, consider and weigh all the pros and cons of your choice.

For example, you can choose the following set to successfully improve your skills in Oblivion.

  • Alchemy. Affects intelligence. Of course, it will rarely be useful to warriors, but it won’t hurt.
  • Illusion. Whatever class you choose, magic will still be available to the player, but you will only use this ability when needed.
  • Light armor. Affects the speed indicator.
  • Mysticism. Useful, but rarely needed magic.
  • Gunsmith. A useful skill that allows you to repair equipment, thereby increasing your stamina.
  • Summoning. Again, magic is something that will rarely be used.
  • Hand-to-hand combat. Affects strength indicators. If you want to get +5 strength, then you just need to take out your fists and finish off your opponents.

What happens as a result: you can calmly fight with blades, take damage to your heavy armor, block blows and shoot with a bow, without raising the level ahead of time. But you will calmly increase all multipliers to the +5 attribute.

Let's look at an example: when we fight with a sword, we get + 7 to blades. Next we take damage to armor and increase our endurance skill to +6. We just run, thereby increasing the speed by + 7, and now we can start pumping up basic skills in the game “Oblivion”.

We put on something light or just constantly jump, thereby upgrading light armor or acrobatics to +3, and that’s it. Our required parameters increase by +5 - strength, speed and endurance. We increase your hand-to-hand combat skill in Oblivion, increasing your strength to +3, and thanks to repairing your equipment, you increase your endurance to +4.

The basis for leveling up the Mage

With magicians it is much more interesting to choose a race and initial tactics, because they have an interesting constellation Atronach, which gives the following very useful qualities.

  • Mana will not be restored over time, after sleeping or waiting. Of course, this is not an advantage.
  • 50% of the spells that hit us will not cause damage, but on the contrary, we will process them into mana. Basically, you will eat fireballs and lightning bolts that your opponents will throw at you.
  • Atronach has an initial amount of mana that is 150 more than the others. Thanks to this, at later levels of magic it will be possible to create very powerful spells for which other constellations of magicians would not have the necessary resource.

What we get is a starting 50% vulnerability against all spells with the ability to absorb those spells and turn them into mana, plus 150 extra mana points. If during the game you find more artifacts with the ability to absorb magic for 50 points, then your Atronach will become completely invulnerable to any magic. Thus, it will be much easier to upgrade your skills in Oblivion.

If you decide to take this constellation, then the best option would be to choose the female high elf race. This race has more mana than others (by 100 points), which gives you + 250 mana from the very beginning of the game. However, they are subject to a 25% weakness to various magic. For example, such as electricity, cold and fire. However, choosing the Atronach constellation will allow you to absorb fireballs and other magic, which neutralizes your weakness.

You can create another version of the magician, less extreme. It could be British. He has +50 mana and resistance against magic 50. Choose the Mage constellation instead of the Apprentice, because 100 additional mana points come with 100% vulnerability to magic, and we don’t need that. If appearance does not interest you much in this game, then you can choose a dark elf, imperial and other races for your mage, but we have already talked about the best option.

In Oblivion, skills for a magician need to be upgraded according to the same principle as for a warrior. The only thing is that it is best to put more non-magical abilities in the basic skills, such as bows, eloquence, etc. The priority for magicians is willpower, but not for the Atronach. Intelligence, as well as stamina and high health are desirable for all characters.

Oblivion's Most Successful Thief

The thief is not the most viable class, because you will have to fight in the world of Oblivion, one way or another. It is best to consider a thief as a light warrior equipped with a short sword or bow.

The best races for this would be Khajiit, Argonians or Wood Elves.

Wood elves are not the first choice, as they have, to put it mildly, useless racial abilities, although they do have a penchant for bows.

Argonians are distinguished by 75% immunity to disease, are completely resistant to the effects of poisons and breathe calmly under water. This race has nothing else special, but for a thief, in principle, any race, even an orc, can be suitable.

Khajiit. Almost all the skills of this race for a thief are initially high. These are athletics, stealth, hacking and light armor. It will be much easier for our thief to start his journey.

Constellation Thief

It is worth taking the Thief as the main constellation, and not the Shadow. Becoming invisible once a day is, to put it mildly, pointless. The tower is also not a priority, since the ability to open a medium-difficulty lock once a day will not be as useful.

When creating your class, choose what most affects agility, then endurance and speed. We need speed to run away from enemies, periodically shooting at them with a bow. Stamina is needed, like all other heroes, and agility can significantly increase the damage dealt by a bow.

For example, you can take the following skills for a thief to upgrade his skills in Oblivion.

  • Alchemy. A useful skill for preparing poisons, although you won't use it too often.
  • Illusion. Gives you the ability to become partially or completely invisible, which can sometimes be useful.
  • Heavy armor. Of course, you will run in your lungs and take damage in them, so you won’t level up too quickly.
  • Mysticism. This is one magic that you won't use too often during the game.
  • Gunsmith. A useful skill for all classes, which is not used very often.
  • Summoning. Magic that you will hardly use.
  • Breaking into. A very commonly used skill, extremely useful for a thief. It is with its help that you will improve your dexterity.

It turns out that your thief will shoot from afar with a bow, fight up close with daggers or a short sword, he will upgrade all his basic parameters thanks to hacking and a bow, athletics, light armor, repairing equipment and blocking blows.

Who can teach the skills?

In the game you can meet characters who will help you increase your money. For money, of course. For each of the 21 skills you can meet 5 teachers. Two of them will allow you to level up your skill to level 40, two more will help you reach level 70, and only one teacher will help you reveal all the secrets of the craft that interests you. Together with him you can reach level 100. Master mentors certainly charge a lot for their services.

However, being trained by a master is not at all easy. First you need to reach level 70 and get a referral from your specialist teacher. Before this, the master will be no different from other people that you will meet in this huge world. But even after receiving the direction, the master will not train you right away. First, he will test your skills by giving you a small task.

You can start training with all other teachers immediately. However, even here, not everything is so simple, because the teacher still needs to be found. They live in different cities, and some even prefer to live the life of hermits. It is also worth remembering that in the initial stages the cost of such training will be very high for you. To move to a new skill level you will have to pay several hundred septims. And the higher your level, the more gold you need to give to teachers. You can only learn 5 lessons per level.

In Oblivion, skill teachers and their placement vary greatly. Of course, you will meet many of them in Cyrodiil, because it is the capital with many useful contacts. However, other masters may be in more distant cities or even in the thicket of the forest.

Where can you meet masters?

In Oblivion, the athletics skill teacher is Rusia Bradus in the city of Anvil.

Blocking is taught by Andragil, who lives in a house in Bravil.

Irene Metrik will show you the crushing weapon, which is located in the Elven Gardens in the Imperial City.

Witchcraft is taught by the master Olin Seran, who lives in the Sanctuary of Molag Bal.

Mysticism can be learned with Dagail at the Leyawiin Mages Guild.

Destruction Bralsa Andaren will tell you that he lives in the Sanctuary of Kynareth, it is located in the southwest of Chorrol.

Cheat codes for skills in Oblivion

There are always several ways to complete the game. You can spend a lot of time improving the necessary characteristics or use secrets to quickly improve.

Of course, there are cheats for skills in Oblivion. You can open the console using the “tilde” and enter the phrase player.setav (skill name) (number). For example, you can enter player.setav Speechcraft 55 to increase your Speech skill to 55.

If you want to improve your strength, endurance and other attributes, then use the code modpca (attribute name) (value). For example, enter modpca Intelligence 150 to add 150 points to your character's intelligence.

The AdvLevel code will help increase the character's level by 1. AdvSkill increases the skill level by one unit.
